Donation of Hearing Aid equipment by Heartlands & Solihull Hospital (Birmingham UK)

In September 2004,Heartlands & Solihull (NHS) Trust Hospital, Birmingham (UK) donated four analogue hearing testing machines and a supply some old  heaing aids. These are currently being used  in Mirpur Azad Kashmir and surrounding areas by the Ansari Welfare Trust. We are greatful to  Heartlands & Solihul ( NHS) Hospital, Birmingham (UK) for their support.

For the first time in the history of Azad Jammu Kashmir, the Education Department allowed 8 Special (Deaf, Hearing Impaired) students to appear in SSC (Matric) part 1 Exams. The exams completed in mid April.  These students are of Kashmir Institute of Special Education (KISE)

Gold Medalist Mehwish Iftikhar

Kashmiri Gold Medalist Olympian Star Mehwish Iftikhar With Dr M Yasin, Chairman of Ansari Welfare Trust UK and her Coach Rubina after winning a Gold Medal in Table Tennis at the World special Olympics Athens, Greece.  Mehwish represented the State of Kashmri  among the 156 countries in this event. Mehwish Iftikhar with Mr Basharat Shaheen
